Who we are
This website is run by S&D Performance Ltd, trading as SD Performance (company number 13858823, VAT number GB 485 6095 51), 96 Goodmayes Road, Ilford, IG3 9UZ. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

What we collect
- Orders: your name, billing and delivery address, email address, phone number, the items you buy and any order notes.
- Payments: card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link and Klarna payments are handled by Stripe and Klarna. We never see or store your full card number.
- Enquiries and bookings: anything you send us through our contact forms, by email, by phone or on WhatsApp, such as your name, contact details and vehicle details (make, model, engine, registration and mileage).
- Customer accounts: if you create an account, your login details, saved addresses and order history.
- Website use: basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type, and, where you allow it, cookies (see below).
How we use it and why
- To process and deliver your order, arrange collection, handle returns and refunds, and send order emails. Our legal basis is performing our contract with you.
- To answer enquiries and carry out work on your vehicle, including remaps and fitting. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, and performing that contract.
- To keep accounting and tax records as required by HMRC. Our legal basis is legal obligation.
- To prevent fraud and keep the website secure. Our legal basis is our legitimate interests.
- To understand which pages and links bring customers to us, using WooCommerce order attribution. Our legal basis is our legitimate interests.
We do not sell your data, and we will only send you marketing if you have asked us to. You can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
- Stripe and Klarna, to take payments and run fraud checks.
- Delivery couriers, who receive your name, address and phone number so they can deliver your order.
- Our website hosting and email providers, who store data on our behalf.
- Google, when you view the map on our website or open our Google Business profile.
- Our accountants, HMRC and other authorities, where the law requires it.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Order, invoice and payment records: 6 years from the end of the financial year they relate to, as HMRC requires.
- Enquiries that do not lead to an order: up to 12 months.
- Customer accounts: until you ask us to close your account, apart from order records we must keep.
Cookies
We use cookies that the website needs to work, such as those that keep items in your basket, keep you signed in and secure the checkout. Stripe also sets cookies at checkout to prevent fraud. WooCommerce order attribution stores which page or link brought you to us so we can see where orders come from. The map on our home page is provided by Google, which may set its own cookies.
You can choose which optional cookies to allow using the cookie button at the bottom left of every page, and you can change your mind at any time. We do not use advertising cookies.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or transfer it to another company. Email info@sdperformance.co.uk and we will reply within one month. There is normally no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
