Your original file is backed up, then the new calibration is written and loaded.

I was also offered an engine remap which I decided to get done. The S350 was not a slow car to begin with BUT after the stage 1 remap it feels more like sports car than a luxury car. Very noticeably power gains for me. Everything was explained to me clearly and all questions were answered.
